GiveaDamn (3k image)In the latest of a series of disappointing setbacks, IMBAS will fail again to meet its own deadline for re-organization, according to an official announcement by its interim president Brenda Daverin yesterday on the Imbas-Public Yahoo group e-list. Declaring the February 1st date as an impossibility due to the inability to meet the State of Washington filing requirements, Daverin refused to

officially commit to a new target date, citing her personal "employment situation" as one of the reasons.

This latest announcement, in addition to the resignation of IMBAS Secretary and resident agent Vanya Tucherov a week ago, is another blow to the efforts of IMBAS, a Celtic Reconstructionist 501c3 espousing the Celtic spiritual path of Senistrognata, to return to relevancy as a membership organization on the Celtic scene.

Formed in the mid 1990's as one of the leading Celtic spiritual educational organizations to make the Internet its support base, IMBAS in recent times has fallen victim to lack of leadership, membership apathy, and internal directional squabbles.

Daverin set an unofficial target date of May 1st to re-start IMBAS, but noted, with all of the recent problems, that nothing was certain and all options remain on the table.
