02/01/2006: "Imbolc 2006 - Honoring Brigindu in Pensacola"

As the sun set in the west last evening here in Pensacola Florida USA, we returned to our field to honor Brigindu with the rememberance of Imbolc.
Lighting the tiki torches around the circle, enjoying a brief
ritual, setting the bonfire ablaze, we then gathered around its warmth on a chilly evening (Low 34 F), and contemplated the return of Spring. Inviting Brigindu into our homes, sharing our food and drink, and enjoyed the fire's company until 4:30 in the morning made for a memorable evening, which concluded by lighting the home's altar fire from the dying bonfire's flames.
As the day's end nears, I hope that all who embrace a reverance for their pre-Christian Celtic ancestors have enjoyed a blessed and happy Imbolc, while contemplating the Spring rebirth to shortly come!
