10/31/2006: "Year End Musings; New Year Blessings"

mood: Thankful and hopeful

Today, our year is over. Tomorrow a new one begins. For seven years, those of us associated with the Celtic Nation online presence have enjoyed the camaraderie of fellow searchers for enlightenment regarding the Celtic Gods and Goddesses of our ancestors. As we look back over the last year,

we have much for which to be thankful.

This year, with the development of the Deiuokara web theme, a new direction has been plotted by Celtic Nation. Along with the usual support of Celtic cultural and language interests, we have taken the first steps to developing a spiritual online presence. Embracing Celtic spirituality and worldview, its mythology and traditions, along with its languages and cultures, Deiuokara, which means attempts to develop an online tutorial on how members of the Diaspora can embrace an authentic working Celtic spirituality.

The new Celtic Nation Discussion forum went on line this week and will aid in this endeavor as well. The success of the old egroup forum, which ran on Onelist/Egroup/Yahoo from 1999 till its closure in late 2004 with 1500+ members at its peak, will be the template for new layout, which will have email notification and the protection of user registration. Spread the word to the old group members that "the Nation" is back!

We honor and thank Lugus for His protection, his inspiration, and His bounty this year as He served as our Lord of the Tribe, Lord of Skills, and Lord of Abundance, while entreating Him to provide the same in the years to come. Likewise, we honor and thank Brigindu, our Goddess, for all of her good gifts and nurturing over the past year and look forward to Her blessings in the years to come. And finally, we honor and thank our ancestors, who paved the way for us today and continue to watch over us we go about our day to day affairs.

New Year blessings and best wishes to all of you who share our goals, our dreams, and our aspirations!
