06/20/2007: "Daverin Resigns as IMBAS President; Remains Moderator of IMBAS Public E-list"

Citing a continuing inability to provide the needed strong leadership during difficult times, Brenda Daverin announced her resignation from her post as president of IMBAS, effective immediately. "Imbas needs strong leadership," Daverin admits. "I'm incapable of providing that under current conditions. I should've realized this years ago, but inertia is a harsh mistress."
Daverin's presidency was dogged by
the continued inability to resuscitate IMBAS as a legal organization promoting Senistragnata and the failure to bring key educational programs on-line to its membership. After missing several self imposed deadlines for restart over the last year and a half, it was clear to many that there were serious issues that seemed incapable of resolve. "I expect my reputation's not doing so well in some circles over the truth within what's been going on," Daverin lamented.
After thanking those who could sympathize with her over all this, Daverin warned any who would belittle her unfairly, saying, "...if any choose to speak ill of me for this beyond the truth, may the gods bless you with what you deserve for it."
Despite whatever misgivings Daverin has over her tenure as president of IMBAS, they clearly did not extend to her position as co-moderator of IMBAS-public. "To repeat one point, I am remaining as co-moderator of imbas-public", declared Daverin. "If whoever replaces me as president wishes to co-moderate imbas-public, that can be discussed amongst the four of us currently tasked with the job."
Admittedly, due to personal time constraints, Daverin has repeatedly stated an inability to keep up with the Imbas-public e-list. As such, her insistence at remaining on at yet one more responsibility she claims little time to oversee is surprising. What it does mean is that whoever finally steps in and tries to straighten out the IMBAS mess will still have to deal with the Daverin wife and husband team co-moderating the public list.
