08/01/2008: "Vlido-Lugus 2008"

Today we celebrated a festival for Lugus, parallel to Lughnasa for Lugh. Our families enjoyed the beautiful day and celebrated our multi functional God of our community, enjoying the afternoon thunderstorm that accented our celebration.

Rejoicing in our bounty of the harvest, we meditated upon the following themes outlined in the Apple Branch:

The assembly on high.

The Pageant of the Triumph of Lugus

The Solemn Reaping and enjoying of the harvest's first fruits.

Horses racing in water.

Fertility Magic of paired couples.

Burial of Flowers.

The community's order.
