Our Observances

Deiuokara draws the inspiration for its spiritual observances from Alexei Kondratiev's "Apple Branch.

We base our ritual calendar on the work of Professor Garrett Olmsted on the Gaulish Calendar discovered in Coligny, France.  Very soon we hope to have a calendar page up explaining the details of our system.

We celebrate the following cycles of observances:

The Cycle of Earth and Sun - This is the cycle reflecting the seasonal changes having impact on community and the land associated with natural events relating to agriculture and relating to solstice and equinox celebrations.

The Cycle of the Moon - This cycle emphasizes the cyclic rhythms of the moon, its waxing and waning, and the subtle impacts these phases can have on the community and individuals throughout the year.

The Cycle of the Community - This cycle emphasizes the dates of significance relating to living Celtic culture today and the community itself.
